A female accused with stalking Kate McCann apparently deposited her a phone message which posed: "imagine I am Madeleine?"

Julia Wandelt, twenty-four, who court testimony revealed has repeatedly asserted she was the vanished Madeleine McCann, and Karen Spragg are facing charges charged with pursuing Kate and Gerry McCann from June 2022 and February the current year.

On Monday, the court learned phone records and data recovered from phones logged Ms Wandelt consistently asking Madeleine's mother for a biological test throughout 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - when she was three years old during a trip in Portugal - is among the most covered investigations and continues to be unresolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

Another recorded message, shared in court, recorded Ms Wandelt stating: "I know I'm fat and plain like Madeleine was, but I feel what I know."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's recording said: "Suppose there is a small chance that I'm her? What then? Is that not crucial for you?"

"I do not need money, I possess a life here in Poland, I just want to discover," the recording stated.

The panel was informed that via emails, mobile messages and calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a biological test, transmitted early photographs to her phone in a bid to show a similarity to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and stated to have "memories" from a early life with the McCanns.

The investigator, an investigator with Leicestershire Police who compiled the evidence, informed the court there "showed no any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt additionally contacted close associates of the McCanns, as per the call data.

On that date, Gerry McCann responded to a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "the wrong phone."

During that incident Ms Wandelt deposited a message on Mrs McCann's answerphone stating "I will continue and I intend to demonstrate my point."

The court was informed the co-defendant established a association via internet with Ms Wandelt before assisting her on a trip to the McCanns' residence in Leicestershire in last December.

Call logs showed Mrs Spragg had reached out through messaging service to Mrs McCann to state the media had characterized Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she should be considered genuine in the time leading up to the trip to Rothley, the county, in last December.

The court learned message exchanges between the two defendants, in that autumn, planning attempting to acquire Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her garbage or from cutlery at a dining venue.

"We have to assert ourselves," the co-defendant advised Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the appearance to their house, the defendant transmitted a text which stated: "We find ourselves sitting outside the McCanns' residence with our vehicle dark similar to private investigators. I desired to do this with someone else I didn't imagine I would be doing that with the McCanns."
