It's a challenge for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have long been mastered.

We're talking about the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to an additional six T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are all that remain for a side that has won it all.

It needed up to Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their hitters to hold a record if not afforded the opportunity.

Many contend the case for the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

Those words will be the last competing nations at this championship should hear.

Over the past five days a sense they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this success succeeding win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a meeting with longtime competitors England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.
