I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
