Aryna Sabalenka in action
Aryna Sabalenka finished the tour with an impressive 23-3 Grand Slam win-loss record.

The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been voted the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second straight year.

The 27-year-old secured four tournament victories – the highest tally on the circuit – which included retaining the US Open this past September versus Amanda Anisimova to earn her fourth career Grand Slam singles title.

A Year of Dominance

Across the season, Sabalenka competed in a tour-best nine championship matches, with losses coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The star player also triumphed at the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She remained the whole season as the world number one, finishing 2025 atop the rankings for a second straight year.

This past summer, she achieved the status of being the first athlete to exceed 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams in 2015.

Historic Statistics

Sabalenka ended the season with a 63-12 win-loss record, and earned a record eleven million pounds in tournament winnings.

She received nearly eighty percent of the votes cast by international tennis media.

Later this month, she is poised to compete against 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match with the aim of "raise women's tennis to a higher level".
